Hi. Hello there. Is this thing on?

Substack. Here we come...

Wow. So HI! I was not expecting to start a new Substack however I am launching a new mini-interview Latinx author spotlight initiative on Instagram called Nuevas Paginas and well it occurred to me that the amazing answers to these interview questions I might get, might not fit the Instagram caption word limit……

So here I am scrambling to build a new space that can hold all the amazing words from your (new and/or old) favorite Latinx/e authors! I also don’t think its a bad thing to have these interviews available outside of Instagram for those that don’t even know what that is! Because lets also be honest - TikTok is taking over anyways (just kidding, please don’t cancel me).

Additionally, I think this was also a sign from the universe to find a place to try and write more? I love Instagram and the #Bookstagram community, don’t get me wrong! However, I often find myself having to cut down my captions and stop myself from exploring a thought about reading or life I wanted to share. What I am saying is I am hopeful I’ll use this space in a different way from Instagram and if I’m honest - I am hoping to be to be more free from the tensions/pressures of posting too.

I can’t promise a weekly newsletter though so see this more as an occasional/unexpected/unplanned “SURPRISE” in your inbox from that random blogger stranger on the internet you secretly follow (this was me with LiveJournal in my 20s randomly cheering on/checking up on internet lesbians I didn’t know in real life hoping they’d make it through life) if you sign up.
